Enhancing Security with Minimum Password Strength
Minimum Password Strength is a WordPress plugin designed to improve password security by enforcing strength requirements for user passwords. While WordPress provides a visual indicator for password strength, this plugin takes it a step further by ensuring users select passwords that meet a defined minimum strength level before they can proceed with changes. By default, passwords must be at least of 'Medium' strength, but administrators have the flexibility to adjust this requirement to 'Weak', 'Medium', or 'Strong' through the plugin's settings.
The plugin is user-friendly, allowing easy access to settings under the WordPress dashboard. Currently, it applies the same password strength requirements to all users, but future updates are expected to introduce the ability for administrators to set different requirements based on user roles. This feature will enhance security across the platform by tailoring password policies to specific user needs.
